The techno-cultural dance drama “MGM Awakening Lion” will return to MGM Theater in December 2022. Bringing you a spectacular show that brings innovative and cultural integration to the Greater Bay Area.

Presented by MGM and Guangzhou Song and Dance Theater, the Techno-cultural Dance Drama “MGM Awakening Lion” is re-arranged and tailor-made according to the best dance drama in the China Dance Lotus Awards. During the 70-minute drama, the bold beauty of the lion dance and Southern Fist (Nanquan) are complemented by the gentle, elegant dance piece, utilizing the world's largest permanent 28 million pixels indoor LED screen and other advanced stage equipment to break all boundaries between venue and act. This dance drama strikes a delicate balance between the flux and the fixed to deliver a one-of-a-kind and visual-stimulating extravaganza to the audience.

“Awakened by the spirit, rooted in the Lion” – the repertoire of “MGM Awakening Lion” starred by Iiliwan Umar, Peng Guanyu and Zhu Jinhu. This dance drama tells the story of two lion dancers undergoing a journey of transformation in the face of love and hate and the dilemma of choosing between family and country.

“MGM Awakening Lion” will show the Lingnan Culture on stage, revived the modern art and the traditional lion dance again in December. Tickets on sales now!
